Change in rabies vaccination exemption for young animals
From 29 December 2014 onwards all dogs, cats and ferrets will need a valid rabies vaccination in order to be allowed to enter the Netherlands. This means that from that date onwards young animals under 12 weeks will no longer be exempt from rabies vaccination. Effectively, since the first vaccination is valid after 21 days, no dogs, cats and ferrets under 15 weeks of age will be allowed into the country.
