Taking medication from the UK to the Netherlands

Attached is a factsheet about taking medication to and from the UK. The main things that you should be aware of are as follows:

  • Always take the medication with you in its original packaging.
  • Only take the amount you need for the duration of your trip.
  • Always carry a letter from your GP confirming the prescription of the medication.

The points above are the official requirements however it might be useful to obtain a medicine passport, for any emergencies such as the loss of the medication or possible trip to the doctor.
