The Netherlands is a world leader in arts and culture. The arts flourish in outstanding museums, a broad selection of galleries and an impressive variety of classical and innovative modern music and theatre. Major international arts festivals are held every year, all over the country.
Advice and information
The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands celebrates, promotes and represents Dutch arts and culture in the UK. The Dutch Embassy facilitates exchange between British and Dutch cultural institutions and artists and actively stimulates the presentaion of Dutch art in the United Kingdom.
Thanks to years of experience with UK and Dutch cultural institutions the Embassy has a broad network of contacts. The Press and Cultural department advices on collaboration possibilities in the UK en can refer to relevant individuals, institutions, organisations and platforms. The Embassy can also help with publicity efforts, through announcements on the website and social media.
The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in London has a small funding budget to support projects involving Dutch arts and culture. In principle, funding is only provided to the British organising party. The Embassy can provide a contribution towards travel expenses, accommodation, promotional material and publications.
