Housing Minister Blok visits London
Dutch Minister for Housing and Central Government Sector, Stef Blok, paid a visit to London on Tuesday 1 November. His first port of call was a meeting with Marc Vlessing, the Dutch CEO of Pocket Living, a company which produces well-designed, local and affordable homes. The company is currently developing starter homes in London which cost around 20% less than the normal market rate.
Over lunch, Minister Blok also met the former British Minister for Housing and London, the Rt Hon Nick Raynsford. He then attended an investment briefing at the Embassy focusing the Dutch mortgage market, and ended his visit with an investors’ dinner at the Residence, hosted by Ambassador Simon Smits.
