Remembrance Ceremony on 11 November

The Remembrance Ceremony of the ‘Bond van Wapenbroeders’ (Brothers in Arms of Dutch Veterans ) will be held at the Netherlands’ Field of Honour at Mill Hill Cemetery in North London, NW7 2RR on Friday 11 November 2016 at 3pm.

As is their custom and intention each year,  this group of Dutch veterans will gather at Mill Hill Cemetery in order to remember the men and women who gave their lives in the Second World War and subsequent conflicts. This year, a total of 30 veterans will travel to London in order to attend. The ceremony will be conducted by Reverend John P.W. Wainwright of All Saints Church, then wreaths will be laid by the Defence Attaché, the Bond van Wapenbroeders (Brothers in Arms of Dutch Veterans) and the 600 (City of London) Squadron Association.

It is a moving ceremony and the veterans thoroughly enjoy making this trip each year in order to honour their fallen comrades. Afterwards they are invited for a glass of mulled wine and a mince pie to reminisce with their friends.
