Below you will find all our past and upcoming activities and events concerning water management.

Exchanging scientific knowledge, lessons learned and best practices is vital. This climate delta conference will make that happen and could be a source of inspiration for an activity on water management.

The Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (EFRA) Committee made a two day visit to the Netherlands this week to view Dutch flood management projects. The main topics addressed were water governance, resilience and building with nature. On the first day delegation visited to the Room for the River project near Nijmegen, Water Board The Dommel and the city of Dordrecht. In the evening a dinner with 20 experts on flood management was hosted by the British Ambassador in The Hague. The second day the Delta Commissioner welcomed the delegation at the Ministry of Infrastructure for a presentation, followed by visits to the knowledge institute Deltares and the floating homes in IJburg (Amsterdam).

On 13-14 May, a group of eight British and three Irish flood experts took part in a two-day “Influentials” visit programme to the Netherlands, jointly organised by the Dutch Embassies in London and Dublin and the Netherlands Enterprise Agency.
